Second edition hidden drops are coming to empires on the rise.

Second Edition Cards Are Here...Almost!

As you know, First Edition Ravaged Lands, our base set that we launch the game with, went Officially Out Of Print in October of 2022. After being a full year since its initial release, we at FLS, have been transparent that a Second Edition Version of these cards were always a possibility. We have made a commitment to our community of both players and collectors, that we will always strive to make all playable game pieces attainable in some fashion; whilst still keeping a firm hold on the collectible nature of some of the higher rarity cards.

As a company who prides themselves on the continual effort to improve and grow our game, through it's community of players, it was always our intent to reprint some of the iconic cards from our original set
Ravaged Lands.

If you venture on over to the Card Galleries tab here on the website, and click on the Empires On The Rise Card Gallery, you will notice a lot of specialized cards arriving in this upcoming booster set. There you will also notice, at the bottom of the Card Gallery, a spot that is marked 'Hidden Second Edition Drops', and with it 16 available slots. These 16 cards are going to be card's of our choosing that we feel are needed pieces to the competitive side of the game, and that saw a larger increase in competitive viability.

We have taken into consideration all feedback from our continual growing community over the past year, and felt it time to reprint some of the game's most sought after cards. As we may be a game still very much in its infancy, we know that our collectors, along with our player base, have been on the hunt of these cards for some time!

We want to let all players and fans know, and in the future know, that with these reprints we made sure we maintained the integrity and collectible nature of the First Edition Ravaged Lands cards, by our choice to go with Non-Rainbow Foil and the Silver Legion Crests on these cards. In addition, they will maintain relatively similar pull rates as they did in the original product release of Ravaged Lands.

So as we move onto our fifth product release coming this spring, we can comfortably say that we, at Future Lore Studios, are learning and growing with our already devoted player base. Below here, in this article, we highlight the need of a wording errata to one of the game's most iconic cards, and how we have addressed it with the coming of our First Edition Booster Set 2: Empires On The Rise.

We understand Erratas in card games, big or small, can be a sensitive subject and an adjustment for all players new and veteran. However, we strive to maintain the best playing experience for everyone involved and invested Legions Realms at War TCG, and so we found these to be a necessary correction to an otherwise enjoyable gaming experience.

We welcome you to please enjoy them, as you 'Join The Revolution' coming with Empires On The Rise!

Thank You,

End Of Days Errata

Important Wording Errata
(effective as of Empires On The Rise Release)

With the great news of Second Edition Ravaged Lands cards showing up as 'Hidden Drops' in the upcoming release of the First Edition Empires On The Rise Booster Set, we wanted to take the time to note a very important errata coming to one of the game's most iconic and polarizing cards.

Since its release in Ravaged Lands, like all Exalted Rare cards in the set, End Of Days had a clear denotation of power. At the time of it's testing and subsequent release all Exalted Rares were thoroughly tested and developed within the game state as it stood. However, since that time with the introductions of both Bountiful Harvest Season One and Frontiers, Demons; in particular End Of Days has seen it's fair share of defining moments at the top level of competitive play.

With that being said, it will be the only Second Edition Ravaged Lands cards seeing an errata, and we feel it  as a necessary change going forward for the health of not only Demons as a Legion, but also competitive play as a whole.

It is has been a year's long discussion, between us in studio and our testing team of this particular card; and how we go about approaching it. Being as it is not only an essential storyline piece, power piece for the deck, the Demon Legion's first ever Exalted Rare, and a historical piece in our game's history - we felt that we still needed to treat the card fairly. With our intent on not having to take action on cards in favour of the Suspended/Restricted/Limited List, especially one as key as End Of Days, we felt that the appropriate course of action was to do a minor text errata to the bottom line of card text. See Below.

As you can see from the above card images, the last line of text stating 'No player can respond to this card' is no longer there, otherwise the card is functionally the same as it was. We wanted to do minimal corrections to this card, as to not disturb too much of what card players would call "Oracle Text", and we felt this was the most unimpactful, yet impactful way of achieving what we wanted with End Of Days.

This errata to End Of Days will not come into effect until the release of Empires On The Rise, as in which time the Second Edition Version of End Of Days will be made available to pull in Booster Boxes.
